Accelerated Academics
Traditional school moves painfully slow for smart, motivated students.
Inside the Autodidact Accelerator™ program, I build a Custom Accelerated Learning Plan for your teen that maps the exact steps to:
🟢 Finish high school requirements efficiently
🟢 Complete the right college‑prep courses for elite engineering programs
We remove the “one‑size‑fits‑none” classroom pace and let your teen learn at their own speed, using top‑tier books and courses instead of busywork. That frees up hours every week for the thing that actually moves the needle: high‑leverage projects that make their application stand out.
Challenging Projects
A 4.0 GPA and a 1600 SAT are the new baseline. They don’t win by themselves.
Top engineering schools want proof of grit, curiosity, and real‑world problem‑solving. That means deep, challenging projects, not a laundry list of superficial extracurriculars.
As a professional rocket scientist, I personally mentor your teen to choose and execute a demanding engineering project that fits their interests and tells a clear story on their application.
These are the kinds of projects they can write powerful essays about and discuss confidently in future interviews and applications.

1
Custom ccelerated Learning Plan
To go fast, your teen needs three things:
1️⃣ A clear starting point
2️⃣ A specific destination
3️⃣A detailed map to get there
I start with a deep assessment of your teen’s current academics, strengths, and goals. From there, I create a detailed Custom Accelerated Learning Plan that shows exactly how they’ll hit their academic milestones and build a project path toward a standout engineering school application.
2
Meta-Skills Action Plan
Being an aspiring engineer is hard. Motivation, resilience, and discipline matter just as much as IQ.
Using my Reverse Engineer Your Life Tool, I work with your teen to define their long‑term goals, then reverse‑engineer the attitudes, skills, and habits they’ll need to make those goals inevitable.
Because these habits are tied to your teen's vision of success, they start pulling for skills like time management and focus, instead of you pushing them. This makes it far easier for them to stay on task and make consistent progress on their own.
3
Expert Mentorship
For 12 weeks, I meet 1‑on‑1 with your teen to help them execute on their accelerated academics, meta‑skills action plan, and engineering project.
Each week, we remove roadblocks, build better habits, and keep them accountable to the plan. This creats momentum towards a standout engineering school application.
Alongside the private coaching, your family joins a community of ambitious teens and parents, with weekly group calls and workshops so you always know the next right step.

I’m obsessed with alternative education and helping build the next generation of rock‑star engineers. Before pivoting into education, I spent over 13 years as a professional aerospace engineer and rocket scientist.
I didn’t get there by following the traditional school script. I learned how to become an autodidact (self-learner) early, and that changed everything.
I've been fortunate to:
Build robots in my garage long before college applications
Graduated high school at 16-years old
Earn a degree from Caltech
Worked at Elon Musk's SpaceX
Designed Hybrid-Electric Airplanes
Became an instrument-rated private pilot
Published a Book on Rocket Science
Build my own company while raising three kids
Now I help teens use those same principles to accelerate their learning, do meaningful projects, and build applications that actually get noticed.
Your teen is bored with school
Classes feel slow, repetitive, or shallow. With a more engaging, self‑paced curriculum, your teen can move at their true speed instead of being limited by teachers, classmates, or the school calendar. When effort finally equals progress, motivation and confidence jump.
Your school isn't helping
If your teen is bright, “special requests” are usually treated like a problem, not a priority. At Newman Academy, we design a customized accelerated learning plan around your student, so they can reach their full potential. The goal is simple: help them become exceptional, not average.
You’re confused about elite college admissions
Engineering programs are more competitive than ever. The answer is not more random activities; it’s depth over breadth. We help your teen work on serious engineering projects and use our ultra‑flexible academic calendar to open up time for internships and real experience that admissions officers can’t ignore.
You don’t have to figure this out alone. I can help.

If your family joins the program and you’re not 100% satisfied within the first 30 days, you can get a full, no‑questions‑asked refund. You’ll still keep lifetime access to the training materials you’ve already received.
If you’re curious whether the Autodidact Accelerator™ Program is a good fit for your student, submit a short application and book a call. We’ll review your teen’s situation and see if we can help them accelerate their academics and projects and build that standout engineering school application.
